"This is the BEST waffle I have ever eaten!"—A cooking demonstration attendee.

This link takes you to the video where Rose demonstrates preparing a variety of breakfast foods.

Ingredients

3 Cups Old Fashion Oats

1 Cup Corn Meal (Organic)

3 Cups Water

1/4 Cup Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons Sugar

1 teaspoon Salt

Recipe

Blend all ingredients in a blender, starting with water. We personally use a blendtec. It helps to allow the batter sit for a time, perhaps ten minutes prior to making the waffles.  Makes about  3 1/2 very large Belgium Waffles.

Tools

We use the highly rated, but inexpensive, Presto Flipside Waffle Maker. It makes wonderful waffles. Using a normal flat waffle maker, the waffles are thinner that what are pictured.

Testimonial

These waffles were developed as a result of a friend visiting who require gluten-free ingredients. Rose decided to omit flour and added an additional cup of water, and was pleased to discover that the converted recipe made a great waffle. At a recent cooking demonstration where Rose talked about breakfast options and shared this recipe, one of the attendees declared, "This is the best waffle I have ever eaten." We would agree!
